Power Commander Fuel injection products

  DynoJet Quick Shifter kits.

Normally during up shifting you must roll off of the throttle and pull in the clutch in order to engage the next higher gear.  In racing (both drag and road race) split seconds count.  Rolling off the throttle, even slightly, slows your times and can be the difference between winning and losing.  The Dynojet Quick Shifter (DQS) kit allows you to make full throttle, clutchless up shifts.  Once installed, the rider can shift up simply by pressing or lifting (depending on the bike) the gear shift lever.  The amount of “kill time” is adjustable by the user via the provided software. The user can also set a minimum rpm for the system to function.  This keeps the system from activating at too low of an rpm, such as low speed road riding.

The DQS is compatible with all PCIIIusb's and plugs directly into the expansion port. No cutting or splicing of the bike's wiring is required.

Shift rod pressure sensor
This sensor mounts in the shift rod.  This is a universal sensor and the customer must provide the appropriate “length and thread” shift rod.  This sensor is available in both “push” and “pull” styles depending on the direction the shift rod moves during an up shift.  For certain applications a Shift Rod Kit is offered.  This is a direct replacement shift rod that will allow quick installation with no custom work required. See application section for details.

Linear travel sensor
For applications where a bike does not have a shift rod, or the pressure/tension sensor will not fit, we offer a Linear Travel Sensor.  One end of this sensor is mounted to the shift lever itself and the other to a fix point on the chassis.  This sensor is available in both “push” and “pull” style to suit all installations. A universal mounting kit is included.

Handlebar mounted switch
A handlebar mounted activation switch is offered for situations where a shift rod/lever mounted sensor is not legal for a particular racing organization, impractical to fit, or not preferred by the rider.  To use this type of switch, the rider must first slightly preload the shift lever, press the handlebar mounted switch, and then complete the shifter movement.

Power Commander IIIrThe Power Commander IIIusb was introduced in 2003 and utilizes the same "direct injector control" technology as the PCIII. The USB (Universal Serial Bus) port provides an instant, no-hassle way to connect the Power Commander module to a computer. This model also features an expansion port for future add-on modules like an ignition module.

Power Commander IIIrThe Power Commander IIIr was introduced in November 2000 and utilizes the same "direct injector control" technology as the PCIII. The "r" version contains additional circuitry and in some cases, additional connectors, which allow Ignition adjustment as well as fuel adjustment. Ignition adjustments can provide very positive results on the race track, where factors like special fuel and highly tuned engines are used.

Power Commander IIIThe Power Commander III was introduced in 2000 and is externally similar to the PCII. The PCIII utilizes "direct injector control" technology to control the fuel curve for models that do not possess the appropriate sensors to allow sufficient fuel adjustment using the PCII technology.

The PCIII receives the injector pulse from the ECU and changes the pulse width signal to the injectors. The  current model range is either PCII or PCIII depending on the stock system design. Both systems can be considered equal in terms of performance capabilities.

Power Commander IIThe Power Commander II was introduced in 1999 and featured the latest surface mount electronics. Additional features were added like the faceplate button adjustment. The Power Commander II also allows fuel and ignition adjustment on select models.

The PCII utilizes "sensor offset" technology to adjust the fuel curve. Signals from the various sensors on the bike are monitored by the PCII and these signals are recalculated and sent to the ECU in order to achieve the required fuel curve.
