2003 SKYY Vodka Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island
|
The Moto GP at Phillip Island was awesome!
We had a great time at the GP, it is such a different world from the AMA and even the World Superbike events. Australia is a great place and Phillip Island reminded us of the Monterey Coast. We would like to thank the Gauloises Yamaha and WCM teams for their hospitality and especially PVM for inviting us to be part of "the factory" for the weekend! Thank you. |

Rider Andrea Ballerini took first followed by teammate Masao Azuma some 8 seconds later. The Ajo Motorsports team uses forged aluminum Y spoke wheels. In the 250 class the Dark Dog Molenaar team struggled in the rain. Rider Henk vd Lagemaat finished 17th while rider Katja Peonsgen crashed out. The Dark Dog Molenaar team uses PVM 4 piston radial calipers and EVO rotors as well as forged aluminum Y spoke wheels. In the MotoGP class, the MCW continues to make improvements. Rider Chris Burns finished in 20th while rider David De Gea crashed on the opening lap. The WCM team uses forged magnesium Y spoke wheels. |
